Instagram’s launched another genuinely helpful fea Instagram’s launched another genuinely helpful feature! Swipe through the slides for reasons to use it and for my step-by-step guide on how it works. #instagramfeatures #newfeature #carousels #gridstyle #instagramgrid There are all sorts of strategic reasons to use the grid rearrange feature and good news - it only takes a few seconds! start off by going to your grid and selecting the post you want to move. Long hold on it with your finger. A menu will appear - select “Reorder grid”. Simply move the post you want to rearrange, using your finger. If you want to rearrange another one go ahead. Once you’re finished tap the back arrow top left of your screen. That’s it, you’re done! Look at your new grid and if you’re not happy, go through the same process again. Here a few extra tips I’m sharing having used this feature myself. This feature is new and still rolling out so if you don’t yet have it, don’t worry, it should be with you soon. Add a separate caption to each slide of your carousel… #newfeature #newfeatures #instagramtraining #instagramtrainer #instagramcarousel There are real benefits to using this new carousel feature to make the most of your content. #newfeature #newfeatures #instagramtraining #instagramtrainer #instagramcarousel Start by creating your carousel post in the normal way: tap the + at the top of your profile then select Post #newfeature #newfeatures #instagramtraining #instagramtrainer #instagramcarousel Tap Select to choose more than one photo and/or video from your camera roll - you can select up to 20. My advice is to only Select what’s relevant to your overall message. Then press Next top right and add music, and any embellishments to your slides #newfeature #newfeatures #instagramtraining #instagramtrainer #instagramcarousel Once your creative is complete you’ll be given the option to type out your caption. You should see Single caption and a little arrow next to it. Press that for the Single or Multiple caption options. Type out the caption for each slide. Simply swipe to the next slide to type the next caption. You can add hashtags for each one too. #newfeature #newfeatures #instagramtraining #instagramtrainer #instagramtips Once you’ve posted, your audience will see a separate, relevant caption under each slide. Woah! I visited well over 100 artists during Artis Woah! I visited well over 100 artists during Artists’ Open House these past two weekends and here they all are. What a blast it’s been. Behind the scenes, I’ve been helping publicise this brilliant event, which brought together 560 artists exhibiting across 159 venues in South East London. It all started back in March when I hosted a couple of online Instagram workshops for participating creatives, followed by weeks of social media build-up… and then finally the event itself. Over the last two weekends, five of us have been out visiting all the artists taking part. What’s stayed with me most hasn’t just been the artists’ talent, originality and creative energy - though there’s been plenty of that - but the warmth of the community around it all. The welcomes, the conversations, the laughter, the generosity, the encouragement and support between artists and visitors alike. It’s felt genuinely uplifting, and such a refreshing counterbalance to the politics, noise and tensions that so often dominate our day to day. It’s been a hugely positive and inspiring project to be part of. Massive thanks to Georgina Gwyer, who masterminded the whole thing and is an absolute powerhouse.
