A flurry of Instagram updates can feel overwhelming so in my monthly Notes From Hello newsletter coming out this weekend I’ll be simplifying all the announcements and advising you what to do. I’ll also give you a heads up on what Instagram is planning next, so you’ll be on the front foot!

Has the recent Instagram grid change from square t

Has the recent Instagram grid change from square to portrait left your grid looking a bit “meh”? And are you unhappy about it? Well luckily there’s a quick fix within IG - just follow my instructions!

BUT don’t feel obliged to go back through all your old square posts. My advice is to make sure your last 9 posts look ok and commit to ditching squares and landscape and lean into portrait from now on.

Post 4:5 portrait (1080 x 1350 pixels) for any photo or graphic you use (and post portrait video never landscape). Your grid will look great and your posts will take up more space in your audience’s newsfeed which is always going to be a good thing.
